Tracking your DVSA syllabus and driving test readiness

How Licinza tracks the 28 official DVSA driving competencies across 5 progress stages.

DVSA Syllabus Tracking

Licinza integrates the official 28-competency Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) curriculum into your personal dashboard.

The 5 Competency Stages

After each lesson, your instructor updates your competency level for each skill:

Introduced: The skill has been explained and demonstrated.
Under Full Instruction: Practised with step-by-step guidance from your instructor.
Prompted: Performed with occasional reminders or advice.
Independent: Performed safely and consistently without prompting.
Test Ready: Mastered to the DVSA practical test standard.

Test Date & Readiness Score

In the Test Preparation section of your dashboard, you can record your practical driving test date and test centre. The platform tracks your readiness score so you and your instructor know exactly which areas need polish before test day.

Please note: Licinza does not book DVSA practical tests directly. Practical driving tests must be booked on the official GOV.UK website.
